Cardiovascular Technician

As a Cardiovascular Technician at Baptist Memorial Health Care, you will play a vital role in the operating room, assisting the surgical team in preparing patients for procedures and maintaining a sterile environment. Your attention to detail and ability to work under pressure will be essential in ensuring the success of our patients' care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of patients for surgical procedures, including preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Help maintain a sterile environment by cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Participate in ongoing educational activities to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum one year of experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care facility. Experience in cardiovascular surgery, including cardiac surgery, preferred.
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
BLS certification within 14 days of hire date.
Special Skills:
Computer literacy and ability to learn new software and systems quickly. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
