About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Technician to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our surgical team during operations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgical team during operations and procedures by arranging and maintaining sterile setups, and passing instruments as needed.
  • Prepare the surgical suite, move patients, and clean the area to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Provide technical support to the surgeon, including exposure, homeostasis, and other functions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the surgical team.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of technologist with a certificate of graduation or equivalent experience.
  • One year of general experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care facility, with a minimum of six months of experience in cardiovascular surgery.
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire date.
  • Computer literacy and competent in cardiac surgery to take emergency CV calls.
