Principal Member of Technical Staff

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Member of Technical Staff - Health to join our team at Oracle Health AI. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and building innovative, cloud-centric applications from scratch, and making a significant impact on our technical and business strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and modern UI technologies. You will enjoy autonomy and ownership in your work, and be part of a team that values diversity, inclusivity, and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop cloud-based EHR applications
- Collaborate with architects, principals, product and program managers to deliver product features on time and with high quality
- Work closely with engineers to design, develop, and operate public cloud service control planes
- Develop and maintain cloud engineering infrastructure using Terraform
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in cloud computing and healthcare
Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field (MS preferred)
- 6+ years distributed service engineering experience in a software development environment
- Expert in Java
- Deep understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development, specifically within a cloud environment
- Strong skills in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working closely with architects, principals, product and program managers to deliver product features on time and with high quality
- Good understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies
- Good understanding of Linux
- Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services and/or related technology experience, Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development
- Experience with Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development (like Terraform)
