Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Loan Processor to join our team at Olympia Federal Savings. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, preparing, and processing required documentation for consumer and mortgage loans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor online application systems for mortgage and consumer applications.
  • Organize, input, update, and maintain accurate loan files and documentation.
  • Order income, deposit, and asset verification documents, credit reports, and appraisals.
  • Prepare and deliver mortgage disclosures and adverse action notices.
  • Update loans to borrower lists.
  • Report application progress to involved real estate agents.
  • Prepare monthly HELOC reports.
  • Process and prepare all commitments made by the Loan Committee.
  • Properly input decisions in the system for all originated and non-originated applications.

Requirements:

  • A thorough understanding of banking regulations and Association policies and procedures.
  • Excellent public and customer relations skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Organizational skills and composure to prioritize a fluctuating workload in a customer-driven environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain complex banking, lending, and legal regulations and documents.
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs with the ability to learn new software.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent skills.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Experience in loan origination or servicing of mortgage loans is preferred.

Work Environment:

The Loan Processor will work in a standard office environment with the ability to operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer, standard keyboard, and ten-key calculator.
