Practical Nurse Position

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside civilian and military healthcare experts, providing exceptional care to our military community. As a Practical Nurse, you will be part of a dynamic team that operates within safe staffing standards, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Obtain information from patients and/or family members to identify major complaints, symptoms, or reasons for seeking healthcare.
- Take vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, pain level, height, weight, and measurement of head circumference and length.
- Document patients' chief complaints and other pertinent information in the health record.
- Set up, operate, and monitor specialized equipment, such as cardiac monitors and defibrillators.
- Administer oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular immunizations to all age groups in accordance with established protocols.
- Perform teaching to patients and/or family members regarding self-care procedures and document teaching.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms immediately and call for assistance if the situation warrants it.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirement of possessing a current license to practice as a practical or vocational nurse in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. You must also have one year of nursing experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical, nursing, or patient care facility that provided a practical knowledge of human body structure and sterile techniques and procedures.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, you must also meet the qualification requirement listed below:
