About the Role

This position reports directly to the Department Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of Decostar as described below:

Your Responsibilities

• To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar.

Your Key Accountabilities

• Follow all Decostar Industries health and safety policies and procedures that provide for a safe and healthful workplace for all Decostar Industries employees, contractors, and visitors.

• Attend all job and safety-related training as required.

• Do not operate any equipment, machinery, or perform any job task unless you have completed documented training.

• Participate in all accident investigations, internal inspections, or audits or those conducted by any regulatory agency.

• Do not modify or bypass any safety-related systems on any equipment or machinery.

• Immediately report any unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviors to your Team Leader, Supervisor, or the Department Manager.

• Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses to your Team Leader, Supervisor, Department Manager, or the Safety Department.

• Complete pre-operational safety checklists prior to operating any equipment or machinery.

• Track and maintain a list of all sales orders from the customer for Testing and Development.

• Keep track of inventory and report usage.

• Work with Decostar Scheduling to ensure availability of product (Molded/Painted).

• Work with Material planners to ensure availability of products.

• Coordinate shipping with logistics group (internal and third party) for shipping request forms, commercial invoices, labels, pickup, delivery, etc.

• Perform other duties as necessary for completion of projects and timely delivery.

• Monitor current and projected workloads to determine when additional help may be needed to meet deadlines.

• Interface with customers through various means to ensure that we are in compliance with their prescribed shipping methods and requirements.

• Work with Program team to ensure shipment of product based on engineering change levels.

• Participate in regular meetings with customers to provide updates on shipments.

• Coordinate the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and employees to meet customer deadlines.

• Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in the automotive industry. Preference degree or extensive experience in Logistics and Decostar Systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to function independently and multi-task.

• QAD and Solidat experience preferred.

• Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated abilities to communicate with other department team members as well as the Decostar management team.

• Previous supervisory experience.

• Knowledge of warehouse layout, warehouse Shop Floor applications, and labeling requirements.
