Health Screener Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Health Screener to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Health Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors by conducting thorough medical screenings and phlebotomy procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct medical screenings of donors to identify any potential health risks
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from donors
- Monitor donors during the donation process and manage any adverse reactions
- Operate and maintain plasmapheresis equipment within scope of training
- Stock supplies, break down empty cartons, and assist with proper disposal
- Take and record donor pulse, blood pressure, and temperature measures
- Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS)
- Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system
- Support the center management team in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
- Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
- 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful
