About the Role

Austin Community College is seeking a seasoned professional to serve as the Chief Development Officer for Institutional Advancement. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving fundraising efforts to support the college's mission and vision.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will lead the development office in advancing the college's strategic priorities through effective planning, execution, and stewardship. Your expertise will be instrumental in cultivating relationships with major donors, corporations, and foundations to secure gifts that support student success, academic programs, and campus infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in institutional advancement, with experience in leading complex fundraising campaigns, managing high-level donor relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building trust with internal stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students, as well as external partners.

Austin Community College (ACC) is a public two-year institution serving a diverse population of approximately 41,000 credit students each Fall and Spring semester. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the college's strategic priorities
  • Cultivate and manage high-level donor relationships to secure significant gifts
  • Leverage corporate and foundation partnerships to drive revenue growth
  • Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to develop compelling case statements and proposals
  • Manage and analyze data to inform fundraising strategies and measure success
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in institutional advancement or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising, with experience in leading complex campaigns and managing high-level donor relationships
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
