Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Operations: Provide overall direction for thinking strategically, work methods and procedures, policy development, accountability, and management controls.
  • Manage and Develop Section Staff: Schedule workload, establish priorities, assign projects, set quality standards, and monitor progress.
  • Lead, Motivate, and Coach: Lead, motivate, and coach staff, assigning them progressively challenging projects and communicating how they fit into the big picture.
  • Develop, Implement, and Evaluate Programs: Ensure that current section programs meet the Board's and division's business goals, establishing appropriate metrics for measuring outcomes.
  • Identify and Manage Needs and Risks: Identify the needs and risks of the division and/or Board as they relate to the section(s), setting goals and objectives and identifying projects and activities that meet these needs or mitigate these risks.
  • Strategic Planning: Serve as a member of the division's management team, helping to identify future goals and objectives for the section, branch, and division.
  • Develop and Communicate Policies: Communicate section policies and procedures, seeking advice from senior management when developing new policies and procedures.
  • Expert in Field: Provide expertise in planning and policy interpretation, maintaining current knowledge of and anticipating significant developments in the field.
  • Represent Board/Division: Represent the Board and/or division at conferences and meetings with other Government agencies, private sector organizations, and the Federal Reserve Banks on section matters.
  • Manage Budget, Reviews Contractor Work: Formulate and manage the section's operating and capital budgets, reviewing budget tracking information to ensure attainment of program goals and objectives.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and six years of specific work experience. You should possess strong managerial and leadership skills, effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and a strong customer service philosophy. You must be highly dependable and capable of exercising sound, independent judgment, discretion, and tact.

This position is hybrid, requiring a combination of telework and an in-office presence in Washington DC.
