Overview:

The Housing Support Coordinator role at WIN presents a valuable opportunity to assist families in their journey from temporary accommodations to stable housing solutions. This position entails working closely with property owners and real estate professionals, organizing educational workshops, and advocating for families to secure supportive housing options.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to help clients reach their housing objectives
  • Assist families in navigating the housing application process and understanding available subsidies
  • Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents and landlords to offer housing resources to families
  • Organize housing fairs, networking events, and workshops aimed at educating families about the housing search
  • Facilitate property viewings and interviews, as well as support clients with their housing applications
  • Provide continuous support and follow-up for clients while collaborating with Case Managers to develop effective housing strategies
Qualifications:
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree with relevant professional experience
  • Familiarity with the New York City housing landscape, housing subsidies, and supportive housing initiatives
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal abilities
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a team setting
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
