About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in providing support to our anesthesia providers and other members of the interprofessional healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with anesthesia-related procedures, troubleshooting of anesthesia-related equipment, and set up, operation, and initiation of patient monitoring in all anesthetizing locations.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection of equipment and work areas between patients, following infection control standards and department procedures.
  • Organize workflow, problem-solve, and manage ongoing priorities with minimal supervision, seeking guidance when needed.
  • Report near misses and errors promptly into TAPS to improve processes and identify trends.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • One year of hospital experience if not certified; no experience if certified through the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists & Technicians (ASATT).
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASATT - Certified Anesthesia Tech.
