About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in providing support to our anesthesia providers and other members of the interprofessional healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with anesthesia-related procedures, including setup, operation, and initiation of patient monitoring in all anesthetizing locations.
  • Troubleshoot anesthesia-related equipment and ensure that assigned locations and items are ready, available, and in good working condition at all times.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct self in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
  • Participate in committees and task forces as assigned and action items are appropriately performed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • One year of hospital experience if not certified; no experience if certified through the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists & Technicians (ASATT).
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
  • ASATT - Certified Anesthesia Tech certification (preferred).
