Advanced Memory IC Engineer

Position Summary
- Lead the design of memory integrated circuit projects from initial concept through to tape-out.
- Establish and execute memory architectures and circuits, with a focus on optimizing speed, power consumption, and area efficiency.
- Create detailed test plans, conduct design simulations, and troubleshoot any arising issues.
- Enhance performance by identifying and mitigating bottlenecks in memory designs.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, including analog and digital, to ensure smooth integration into the overall product development lifecycle.
- Investigate and rectify design challenges while participating in silicon bring-up and validation processes.
- Master's or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, specializing in CMOS memory, digital, or mixed-signal design.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in circuit design using advanced CMOS technologies (PhD experience may be considered equivalent), with a proven track record of successful tape-outs with leading foundries.
- Expertise in memory circuit design, particularly in SRAM, DRAM, Flash, or emerging non-volatile memory technologies.
- Solid understanding of layout design principles, including layout-dependent effects, pitch matching, and design for manufacturability.
- Proficient with standard EDA tools, CAD software, and memory design methodologies encompassing design, simulation, layout, and verification tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, etc.).
- Capable of devising innovative architectural and circuit solutions to meet customer specifications.
- Able to thrive in a startup environment, demonstrating both independence and teamwork skills.
- Hands-on experience with essential memory blocks such as sense amplifiers, charge pumps, read/write assist circuits, PVT trackers, and power gating.
- Familiarity with memory controllers or memory interfaces.
- Experience with emerging non-volatile memory technologies.
