Pediatric Diabetes Educator Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Diabetes Educator to join our dynamic team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Pediatric Diabetes Educator, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with new patient diagnoses, pump training, equipment troubleshooting, and case management.
  • Work closely with families to provide education and support.
  • Participate in the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) and work towards one of five CAP levels that offer increasing compensation.
  • Receive 17% weekday nights, 26% weekend nights, or 15% weekend day shift differentials.
  • Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Reimbursement available
Requirements:
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days.
  • 3 years directly related experience.
Working Conditions:

Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.

Med Haz: Mod exposure to chemicals/dangerous equip/materials.
