Position Summary:
Gcom Software is in search of a QA Lead to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive ongoing enhancements and ensure the quality of data products utilized across the organization for critical business decisions and user experience optimization.
- Exhibit expertise in software testing methodologies within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and engineers to establish a comprehensive testing strategy utilizing automation tools.
- Plan and conduct manual testing activities to guarantee high-quality delivery of business processes on the enterprise data platform.
- Create automation scripts and utilize tools for validating data and application functionalities.
- Develop and execute test cases to ensure the integrity of all production solutions, including data pipelines and repositories.
- Identify opportunities for productivity improvements through quality engineering enhancements and Agile practices.
- Document and analyze test outcomes, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage defects and maintain test case databases, verifying resolutions.
- Support user acceptance testing conducted by business partners.
- Champion quality and testing best practices among development teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in leading a team of testers, setting priorities, and managing workflows.
- Strong grasp of software quality principles and processes.
- Experience in defining and implementing test management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to analyze and communicate quality metrics effectively.
- Experience with test data creation and test plan development.
- Proficient in Azure DevOps and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with Agile practices and tools such as Jira.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is influenced by various factors, including skills, experience, and geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the annual salary range is between $95,900 and $158,300.
