Role Summary:
The Patient Access Representative (PAR) serves as a crucial first point of contact within our healthcare system. This position involves vital registration tasks, including the collection of accurate patient information, effective communication regarding patient responsibilities, and ensuring proper patient identification. These responsibilities are key to the financial and operational success of our organization. The PAR is expected to welcome patients with a friendly demeanor, addressing them by name and providing courteous, respectful, and professional service. Additionally, the representative will strive to resolve any inquiries or concerns raised by patients. Ideal candidates will demonstrate adaptability to changes in the work environment, fulfill shift requirements, and manage challenging interactions with professionalism.
Qualifications
Essential:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service
- Relevant experience in Revenue Cycle operations
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably EPIC
- Any necessary certifications relevant to the role
