Job Title: Intake Counselor

Summit Oaks Hospital, a leading provider of behavioral health services, is seeking a skilled Intake Counselor to join our team. As an Intake Counselor, you will play a critical role in assessing patients seeking evaluation for psychiatric treatment and chemical dependency.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive level of care assessments to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for patients.
  • Provide crisis and supportive contact with patients and families to ensure a smooth transition into treatment.
  • Accurately and timely document patient information and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate with referral agencies and insurance companies to facilitate admissions and authorizations.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication skills to field inquiry calls and provide referral information.
  • Complete the clerical process for inpatient admissions.
