Position: Registered Vascular Tech (RVT)

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to fill the role of Registered Vascular Tech at our Podiatry Service Company LLC. This position is available for both full-time and part-time schedules.

The successful candidate will primarily focus on lower extremity vascular ultrasound and will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments prior to ultrasound procedures.
  • Complete all necessary documentation during each ultrasound to ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Perform ultrasound examinations to generate Venous Flow Maps, assisting physicians in developing effective treatment plans.
  • Support physicians during procedures as required.
  • Execute additional scans as directed by the physician to monitor treatment efficacy and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with operational staff to manage the ultrasound schedule, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and manage inventory to support ongoing operations.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the ultrasound room after each session.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues when not engaged with patients to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and provide coverage for other clinics as needed.
  • Assist during Image Guided Injection treatments, offering guidance on needle placement and solution specifications.
  • Train and mentor new staff to uphold high standards of patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and protocols.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in lower extremity vascular ultrasound is required.
  • Must hold current registration as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).

Patient Interaction:

Build strong relationships with patients by providing reassurance and clarity regarding their treatment plans.

Additional Duties:

Assist physicians in communicating treatment plans to patients, ensuring understanding and addressing any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess RVT or RVS certification.
  • Ongoing maintenance of RVT or RVS registration is essential.
