About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Material Scientist to join our team at enVerid Systems, Inc. As a key member of our innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our cutting-edge air treatment technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize our sorbent technology to enhance indoor air quality and reduce carbon footprint
  • Collaborate with our Engineering Team to design and test new products
  • Represent enVerid technically to customers and partners, and prepare materials for customer queries and presentations
  • Oversee sorbent production processes and ensure quality standards are met
  • Lead quality control and assurance of sorbent and filter technology
  • Evaluate vendors and supply chain to improve manufacturing processes
  • Maintain detailed documentation of sorbent production processes and develop backup plans for supply disruptions

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science or equivalent
  • 4 years' experience in synthesis and production of organic and inorganic materials
  • Firm understanding of gas sorbents and gas separation processes
  • Practical knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry
  • Highly motivated and self-directed team player with creativity and resourcefulness in problem-solving
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment and deliver good business results with minimal resources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record of taking new materials from development to production
  • Experience with commercial-scale toll manufacturing of bulk chemicals
  • Experience in manufacturing and working with materials for gas separation and adsorption
