Job Summary

The Monitor Technician - Cardiac Rhythm Specialist is responsible for continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation, and ensuring the proper functioning of monitoring equipment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and maintain accurate documentation
  • Ensure the proper functioning of monitoring equipment
  • Assist with communication between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Prepare and maintain patient medical records
  • Answer telephone calls and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare staff
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in telemetry observation
  • Successful completion of Landmark Hospitals' Clinical Education and Dysrhythmia course and EKG exam
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
