Job Summary

We are seeking a junior level civil engineer to assist in the planning, design, and production of engineering documents for general civil engineering on a wide variety of projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in site layout, stormwater, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering designs by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data.
  • Create feasibility studies by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data.
  • Prepare design documents and reports for civil site development, including site layout, grading, drainage, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems.
  • Perform calculations, prepare cost estimates, drawings, technical specifications, and write reports.
  • Assist in the production of engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
  • Perform limited field observations in support of construction and data collection.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Engineer in Training certification preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience as a civil engineer, preferably with experience in site layout, stormwater, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
  • MicroStation and experience in stormwater modeling using WaterCAD or SWMM software is desired.
Working Conditions

Sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
