Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, ensuring the unique needs of each patient are addressed.
- Conduct safety rounds to ensure patient and environment safety, documenting observations and reporting any abnormalities to the registered nurse.
- Identify patient needs and collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Facilitate mental health technician-led groups, documenting outcomes in the electronic health record.
- Utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques to recognize escalating behavior and de-escalate situations, maintaining patient and unit safety.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided, ensuring seamless integration of information for the healthcare team.
- Analyze problems effectively and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making.
- Provide person-centered care, offering choices and engaging patients in the treatment process, fostering optimism and hope.
- Serve as a role model for others in managing behaviors and de-escalation techniques.
- Manage the therapeutic milieu, redirecting behaviors as needed, and maintain current knowledge and certification.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification required
- CPI certification within 90 days
- Ukeru User Certification (UKERU_CERT) within 90 days
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-3 years' experience in psychiatric or healthcare-related area preferred
