As a Cannabis Retail Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the dynamic cannabis landscape. The Cannabis Retail Specialist enhances the experience for our patients and customers. This role is essential in shaping a positive, informative, and seamless journey for both new and returning clientele. Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet every visitor with a warm demeanor, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist and educate patients and customers in selecting appropriate products, offering tailored insights into strains and their effects.
- Engage proactively with customers, guiding them through our product range and highlighting exclusive promotions to boost sales.
- Accurately manage patient records, verifying identities and eligibility for purchases in accordance with legal and company standards.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, representing the company's values and mission.
- Adhere to core values such as respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service.
- Follow iAnthus' principles of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Process transactions efficiently, handling payments with a positive attitude and recording sales in our management system.
- Provide informative materials to assist patients and customers in making educated decisions.
- Maintain a sales-oriented mindset, always seeking opportunities to enhance sales and grow the business.
- Collaborate with management to monitor product inventory, ensuring a diverse and fresh selection that meets customer needs.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old (18 in NY).
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Consent to a criminal background check is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Dependability is essential.

Working Environment:
This position is situated in a retail dispensary setting, requiring the use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment. It is a hands-on, customer-facing role that necessitates engaging with the public in a friendly and helpful manner. The employee must thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and may encounter various working conditions, including exposure to fumes, dust, and noise.
This role requires a flexible schedule, including potential evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Frequent interruptions are expected, necessitating strong self-management and time management skills.
