Project Surveyor Job Description

Electrical Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team in Austin, TX. As a leading power engineering consultant firm, we specialize in engineering services to electric utilities, alternative energy systems, communication, oil/gas, mining, and heavy industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead independent survey field crews and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Calculate survey staking points from engineering and construction drawings and specifications.
  • Utilize AutoCAD or Microstation to convert field data into deliverables for the design process.
  • Interpret historical survey data, property deeds, and other title information to establish parcel boundary lines and landnets.
  • Operate survey data collectors to collect data for platmaking, construction, land, and other surveys.
  • Coordinate and communicate with engineering and construction team members.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 5 years' related experience in the survey field working under the direction of a Professional Land Surveyor.
  • Professional Land Surveyor Licenses preferred but not required.
  • CST Certification also preferred if not licensed.
