Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a robust, externally funded research initiative within the Veterinary & Biomedical Sciences Department, focusing on food animal infectious disease mechanisms and prevention strategies, as well as diagnostic test innovation.
- Offer research mentorship and opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
- Coordinate and instruct pathology courses within the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine curriculum.
- Deliver timely diagnostic pathology services for both mammalian and avian specimens.
- Provide expert consultation and guidance to veterinarians and agricultural producers.
- DVM, VMD, or an equivalent veterinary degree.
- Advanced graduate degree in veterinary pathology or a closely related discipline.
- Completion of residency training in anatomic pathology.
- Eligibility for or certification by ACVP or ECVP.
- Proven ability to establish a funded research program.
- Experience in teaching at the collegiate or professional school level.
- Familiarity with food animal production practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
