GHT is seeking a highly skilled electrical design engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited college or university, and at least 10 years of experience in Electrical Power Distribution Design. Equivalent combinations of education/experience will be accepted. A Professional Engineering license is a plus.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, traits, and credentials:
- Demonstrate proficiency in electrical design for commercial office building projects, including utility coordination, lighting systems design, power distribution system design, fire alarm system design, standby electrical system design, and electrical construction documentation preparation.
- Possess a working knowledge of building, electrical codes, energy codes, and applicable NFPA standards.
- Reflect a commitment to client satisfaction and responsiveness, as well as be motivated to excel, able to work both independently and in a team setting, capable of organizing workflow and delegating tasks to others, willing to learn.
- Possess good visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as a discipline leader on multiple projects.
- Able to lead and develop a team of engineers and designers.
- Possess proficiency in the management of MEP teams.
- Be proficient with AutoCAD (familiarity with Revit modeling is desirable).
Preferred: LEED accreditation.
GHT participates in E-Verify and requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. A successful pre-employment background check and drug test are also required. Certain projects may have extra requirements. Able to travel to job sites and conduct site visits, including carrying equipment/materials; climbing, sitting, standing, walking, balancing.
