Position: Supervisor, Aseptic Processing

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM (2nd Shift)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 + bonus + Long-Term Incentive (LTI)

Role Overview:

This position is situated at our Philadelphia facility, where the individual will be responsible for overseeing the production of essential raw materials utilized in our TIL process. The Supervisor of Aseptic Processing will direct the aseptic processing operations, ensuring adherence to GMP standards while also contributing to the professional growth of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Direct and nurture a team of operators, offering mentorship and guidance to promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Coordination & Scheduling: Manage daily operations and ensure compliance with production timelines.
  • Technical Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of production methodologies and provide expertise in aseptic processing techniques and regulatory compliance.
  • Documentation Oversight: Review and verify the accuracy of batch records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), deviations, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Process Enhancement: Identify and implement innovative practices to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training & Development: Spearhead training initiatives and support the growth of team members to ensure compliance with best practices and quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in GMP manufacturing, with specific experience in cell culture and aseptic processing.
  • Skills: Comprehensive technical knowledge of aseptic processing, exceptional communication abilities, and proficiency in technical documentation.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated capability to lead and develop teams within a manufacturing context.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision & Mobility: Clear vision at near and mid-range, depth perception, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors. Must be capable of standing or walking for up to 90% of a 10-hour shift and lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Cleanroom Attire: Must be able to wear appropriate cleanroom clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work Environment: Ability to operate in cleanroom settings with biohazards, human blood components, chemicals, and varying noise levels.
