Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with external clients to confirm payment statuses and ensure commitments are met to support cash flow objectives.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and unallocated payments.
- Address customer inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
- Assist in filing claims in small claims courts and provide necessary documentation for bankruptcy cases.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on collection efforts and outcomes as required by the finance team.
- Lead bi-weekly or monthly Accounts Receivable meetings.

- Maintain electronic customer files, including executed credit applications, trade references, credit reports, financial data, contracts, and purchase orders.
- Prepare documentation with recommendations for third-party collections.
- Utilize knowledge of state bond and lien laws to safeguard receivables and assist in executing lien waivers as necessary.

- Assess risk exposure based on customer payment behaviors and credit sources, including credit reports, trade references, and public records.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in accounting, collections, and related software.
- Familiarity with commercial credit regulations and operational procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and manage financial spreadsheets in Excel.
- Capability to analyze financial data to evaluate creditworthiness and identify potential risks.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail when reviewing financial documents.
- A proactive approach to managing responsibilities and tasks.
