Job Summary

Stamford Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Exam Preparation: Review patient schedules, confirm patient arrival, and select the correct patient based on schedule and priority.
  • Exam Coordination: Review scripts, prior studies, and notes; check for blood work and authorization when necessary; and confirm patient identification.
  • Clinical History Collection: Collect clinical and medical history from patients, including confirming ordered tests, laterality, and body parts.
  • Exam Performance: Perform exams according to diagnosis, patient history, and protocol, providing comfort and care to patients during the exam.
  • Post-Exam Procedures: Check all imaging, input information into Meditech, and communicate with patients and staff as needed.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in MRI technology, preferred but not required.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to medical emergencies.
  • Proficient in IV setup and knowledgeable in safe vs. unsafe metallic implants.
