We are seeking a skilled Facility Technician to join our team at Neiman Marcus Group. In this role, you will provide technical expertise to support the Operations and Maintenance teams in terms of repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building.

You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Additionally, you will develop and maintain partner relationships with your internal and external customers while responding to both critical and routine support requests.

This role will report to the Facilities Manager and is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to support the Operations and Maintenance teams
  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment
  • Develop and maintain partner relationships with internal and external customers
  • Respond to critical and routine support requests

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
  • Two or more years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Two or more years of experience in the repair of material-handling equipment
  • Ability to work in distribution environments that may be noisy and potentially work on roof top equipment in extreme temperatures
  • One or more years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
  • One or more years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Two or more years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to reach arms above head, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, frequently lift a maximum of 50lbs of equipment
  • Ability to perform tasks wearing a mask, face shield, and composite toed boots/shoes
  • Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
  • Ability to move between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work duties, that can include walking 6 to 12 miles per day
