Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Procurement Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the initiation and management of intricate subcontracts from pre-award through to post-award, with a strong emphasis on performance, change management, quality assurance, cost efficiency, and scheduling.
- Collaborating with requestors to comprehend procurement needs and ensuring the acquisition of appropriate goods or services.
- Selecting suitable Terms and Conditions for various procurements.
- Reviewing Statements of Work to guarantee clarity for potential suppliers, eliminating any ambiguity.
- Preparing and managing activities such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
- Conducting thorough cost and price analyses.
- Drafting procurement summaries and justifications for awards.
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Performing market research to identify potential sources for competitive bidding.
- Negotiating pricing and other terms with prospective suppliers.
- Issuing subcontracts or alternative agreements to suppliers.
- Monitoring and expediting orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Verifying receipt of items by comparing received items against orders.
- Resolving discrepancies related to receipt and payment.
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate procurement files and records.
- Conducting timely subcontract closeouts.
- Executing additional procurement and contracting duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in issuing, awarding, and managing flexibly priced subcontracts.
- Familiarity with solicitations, competitive requirements, and sole source procurement.
- A working knowledge of FAR and 2 CFR 200.
- A comprehensive understanding of federal cost principles.
- Experience managing export-controlled information.
- Senior-level expertise in Purchasing, Procurement, and Subcontract/Contract Management.
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience in the nuclear sector or related fields is advantageous.
Pay Rate: $45 to $70 per hour, based on various factors including education, work experience, job location, specific duties, and certifications.
