Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Industrial Pipe Welder Specialist to join our team at Phoenix Industrial Inc. As a key member of our industrial construction team, you will be responsible for joining various types of metal components using different welding processes, adhering to site safety requirements and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and welding symbols to perform tasks accurately.
  • Follow project specifications, quality control program documents, and understand welding procedure specifications.
  • Perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW, and other mixed-type welds based on project needs.
  • Field install welds, including structural, duct work, hoppers, bag house's, attachment points for electricians, ironworkers, and pipefitters.
  • Select proper fillers for welding tasks based on welding procedure specifications.
  • Prepare welding surfaces per welding procedure to achieve proper joint detail.
  • Assist pipe fitters in pulling measurements to prep work areas, help prep materials to weld and install, and perform other tasks as needed to complete jobs.
  • Work with other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.
  • Communicate with foremen regarding any problems arising, materials required, or any hazards noted.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED Certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.
  • Ability to work under production schedule pressure and attain set standards of accuracy.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals.
