Position Overview

The Program Security Assistant (PSA) will deliver classified security assistance to a government client.

This role necessitates the execution of security protocols and practices in alignment with all relevant policies and guidelines.

  • Mandatory Requirements: U.S. citizenship and a finalized DoD TOP SECRET clearance with the latest investigation completed within the past 6 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and document feedback on various security documents, including SOPs, OPSEC plans, Security Test Plans, and Fixed Facility Checklists.
  • Ensure that facility folders (both electronic and hard copy) contain all necessary documentation, such as accreditation letters, equipment approvals, and System Security Plans.
  • Maintain personnel folders with required documentation, including approved Program Access Requests and training records.
  • Assist in facility Site Assist Visits and compliance inspections, ensuring thorough and accurate self-inspections.
  • Conduct security inquiries and prepare preliminary inquiry reports, providing findings and recommendations to mitigate future incidents.
  • Develop and manage a Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program, encompassing indoctrinations, briefings, and debriefings.
  • Oversee a visitor control and badging system to support various visit requirements, ensuring timely processing and accurate visitor identification.
  • Prepare and maintain courier credentials for the Program Office.
  • Act as the Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) or Assistant TSCO, responsible for inventorying controlled materials.
  • Provide comprehensive security test support, including the creation of test plans and security objectives.
  • Occasionally travel domestically to fulfill security requirements.
  • Assess, develop, and implement security policies to safeguard classified information at all times.
  • Be prepared to support Document Control Officer (DCO) and Security Administrative Assistant (SAA) roles as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Education / Certifications: One year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.
    • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
    • U.S. citizenship and a finalized DoD TOP SECRET clearance with the latest investigation completed within the past 6 years.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of four years' experience in a DoD Security environment (Military, Government Civilian, or DoD contractor), with two years in a specialized classified setting preferred.
    • Familiarity with security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders.
  • Skills & Technology:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
