Position Overview

The Program Security Assistant will deliver classified security assistance to a government client.

This role necessitates the application of security protocols and procedures in alignment with all relevant policies and regulations.

  • Eligibility Requirements: U.S. citizenship and a finalized DoD TOP SECRET clearance with the latest investigation completed within the past 6 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and document feedback on various security documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operational Security (OPSEC) plans, Security Test Plans, and Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC).
  • Ensure that facility documentation (both electronic and physical) is complete, including accreditation letters, equipment approvals, SOP approvals, and System Security Plans.
  • Maintain personnel records (both electronic and physical) with necessary documentation such as approved Program Access Requests (PAR), training records, and Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIA).
  • Assist with facility Site Assistance Visits and compliance evaluations, ensuring thorough and accurate self-inspections. Provide support during physical inspections and offer constructive feedback to the client.
  • Conduct security investigations and prepare preliminary inquiry reports, findings, and recommendations to mitigate future occurrences. Review reports from field activities and provide independent assessments.
  • Design and implement a Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program that encompasses indoctrinations, briefings, foreign travel protocols, and event-driven debriefings.
  • Manage a visitor control and badging system that accommodates various visit requirements, ensuring timely processing of notifications and accurate visitor identification.
  • Prepare and maintain Program Office courier credentials, ensuring proper signature approvals.
  • Act as the Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) or Assistant Top Secret Control Officer (ATSCO), responsible for inventorying controlled materials.
  • Provide comprehensive security test support, including the development of test plans, OPSEC plans, transportation plans, and security objectives during test events.
  • Be available for occasional domestic travel to fulfill security obligations.
  • Evaluate, develop, and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard classified information at all times.
  • Be prepared to support Document Control Officer (DCO) and/or Security Administrative Assistant (SAA) roles as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Education / Certifications: Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
    • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
    • U.S. citizenship and a finalized DoD TOP SECRET clearance with the latest investigation completed within the past 6 years.
  • Experience:
    • Four years of experience in a DoD Security environment (Military, Government Civilian, or DoD contractor), with two years in a specialized classified setting preferred.
    • Familiarity with security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders.
  • Skills & Technology:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
