Extrusion Furnace Operator Job Description

Pries Enterprises Inc is seeking a skilled Extrusion Furnace Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our extrusion furnaces to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate extrusion furnaces according to schedules and production requirements.
  • Operate overhead cranes to move and gather dies, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
  • Inspect tool stacks to ensure proper sizes and configurations.
  • Set up dies and place them in the ready area, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
  • Assist press operators during changes and setups, promoting a smooth and efficient production process.
  • Pull random samples for Team Leaders to check conformity, ensuring quality control.
  • Run the press while the press operator takes breaks, maintaining production flow.
  • Break down dies after extrusion and place them in the caustic area for cleaning and repair.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, reporting any unsafe activities to supervisors and/or the Safety Department.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, ensuring a stable and productive work environment.
  • Clean and organize your work area, promoting a safe and efficient workspace.
