Job Summary

TREO STAFFING LLC is seeking a skilled Structural Fitters to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our metalwork products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify Conformance: Use precision tools to verify that workpieces meet specifications.
  • Align and Fit: Align and fit parts according to specifications, using a range of tools and equipment.
  • Position and Weld: Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications.
  • Study Drawings: Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
  • Set Up Machines: Set up and operate fabricating machines to produce high-quality metalwork products.
  • Lay Out and Examine: Lay out and examine metal stock or workpieces to ensure that specifications are met.
  • Tack-Weld Fitted Parts: Tack-weld fitted parts together to ensure a strong and durable bond.
  • Mark Reference Points: Mark reference points onto floors or face blocks and transpose them to workpieces, using measuring devices, squares, chalk, and soapstone.
  • Set Up Face Blocks: Set up face blocks, jigs, and fixtures to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Position or Tighten: Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps, or bolt parts in position for welding or riveting.
  • Locate and Mark: Locate and mark workpiece bending and cutting lines, allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and other component specifications.
  • Smooth Workpiece Edges: Smooth workpiece edges and fix taps, tubes, and valves to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Preheat Workpieces: Preheat workpieces to make them malleable, using hand torches or furnaces.
  • Wash and Cut: Wash and cut with a torch to achieve a precise and accurate cut.
