Principal Engineer for Space Solutions

If so, we invite you to apply for the position of Senior Principal Systems Engineer at Redwire Space, located in Littleton, CO.
As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality solutions for small satellite programs. Your expertise in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) and Software will be essential in ensuring the success of these projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing lifecycle-balanced system-of-systems and system solutions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Defining and coordinating system performance requirements, integrating technical parameters/algorithms, and assuring compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
- Creating, tracking, and maintaining requirements in Jama Tool.
- Performing various analyses to optimize total system-of-systems and/or system architecture.
- Leading the resolution of technical issues with other SMEs and product teams.
- Mentoring systems engineering teams.
- Supporting design/development of test tooling (simulation, models, report/analysis tools, EGSE) for SW and HW testing.
- Writing technical policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Supporting business development efforts for proposals/bids.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 16-18 years' experience in a broad background in systems engineering. Experience leading the development of space systems for challenging environments and missions is also essential.
We offer a competitive salary range of $175,000 to $220,000 per year, depending on your level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills.
