Rocket Lab, a pioneering force in space exploration, seeks an exceptional Principal Spacecraft Systems Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge spacecraft systems. With a strong background in aerospace engineering and experience in satellite and/or spacecraft development programs, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of space technology.

About the Role
  • Develop and maintain technical budgets, system requirements, test planning, and execution for spacecraft missions.
  • Lead the technical development of spacecraft missions, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Support program and product management, ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (software, computer, electrical, aerospace, mechanical, or other technical engineering discipline).
  • 12+ years of engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience supporting satellite and/or spacecraft development programs.

Salary: $115,000 - $190,000 per year, based on individual qualifications and experience. Rocket Lab offers a comprehensive compensation package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage; 401(k) retirement plan options; paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave; and other benefits.
