About the Job

We are looking for a skilled Information Security Specialist to join our team at GovCIO. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and experience in performing technical risk assessments and developing security plans. This is a fully remote position that offers flexibility and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform cybersecurity incident detection, analysis, and prevention
  2. Perform vulnerability scans of networks and applications to assess effectiveness and identify weaknesses
  3. Develop plans to safeguard computer configuration and data files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs
  4. Support the implementation of computer system security plans with agency personnel and outside vendors
  5. Monitor and analyze cybersecurity alerts from cybersecurity tools, network devices, and information systems

Qualifications

  • High School with 6 - 9 years of security analysis experience (or commensurate experience)
