Job Overview

As an IT-services organization, we prioritize collaboration and innovation. We're seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Threat Analyst to join our Higher Education division, focusing on monitoring, responding to, and mitigating security threats in our Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.

This remote position comes with a salary range of $110,000-$145,000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Threat Monitoring & Response:
    • Monitor our environment for security breaches.
    • Collaborate with the Network Operations Center (NOC) and other teams to respond to detected threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Maintain SLAs.
  • Incident Response:
    • Act as the point person for security incidents in our MSP environment.
    • Provide leadership in investigations, response, and mitigation of threats in partnership with the NOC and other stakeholders.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
    • Perform risk assessment on client networks and systems.
    • Recommend effective mitigation strategies.
    • Promote a culture of security awareness among NOC and other teams.
  • Security Tool Management:
    • Manage and maintain security infrastructure for clients, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
    • Utilize tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (OWASP, CIS, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in a MSP environment, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
  • Proven track record of leading incident response in partnership with NOC teams.
