Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention and Control Specialist to join our team at Cavalier Healthcare of England. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor infection control issues and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with resident, medical record, and facility staff to identify and address infection control concerns.
  • Develop and implement infection control protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct daily rounds to monitor infection control issues and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports on resident infections to the Quality Assurance Committee.
  • Audit medical records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with facility staff education programs and provide one-on-one in-service training.
  • Perform other nursing duties as indicated, including new admissions, hospital transfers, and body audits.
Requirements
  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) or Registered Nurse (R.N.) currently licensed and in good standing with the Board of Nursing in the State in which the facility is located.
  • Ability to tolerate a high pace and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and write legibly and comprehend and follow instructions.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to lift, carry, reach, push/pull, grasp and handle, sit, stand, and walk. The employee must also be able to tolerate prolonged standing and walking.
