POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary responsibility of the Sales Consultant for New and Pre-Owned Trucks is to achieve established sales targets for both new and used truck sales by engaging with existing clients and actively pursuing new business opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Two to four years of relevant experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.
- Professional presentation skills are essential.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office are required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company standards.
- State Sales License – obtainable upon hiring
- Commercial Driver's License is necessary; must meet company insurability criteria
- Ability to travel across county and state lines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively seek and develop new customer relationships.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with current clients.
- Conduct sales calls using reliable transportation.
- Prepare sales proposals for new and used trucks.
- Articulate product performance, applications, benefits, and ROI to potential clients.
- Identify and secure pricing discounts, promotional programs, and special rebate opportunities.
- Complete sales orders, secure customer deposits, and manage paperwork in line with dealership policies.
- Ensure seamless transition of closed deals to the finance and insurance manager with all necessary documentation.
- Verify all pre-bills and ensure specifications align with customer requirements.
- Coordinate any post-factory modifications before final delivery.
- Conduct truck deliveries, ensuring customers understand the vehicle's features, warranty, and documentation.
- Follow up on all post-delivery tasks to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business.
- Complete all online training and attend product and sales training sessions as required.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction by addressing issues promptly.
- Stay informed about federal, state, and local regulations governing retail truck sales.
- Keep abreast of industry terminology, product technology, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings.
- Meet established quotas for customer interactions and log them into the CRM system.
- Adhere to company policies and promote a safe working environment.
