Job Overview

We are seeking to fill a vital position within our organization. As a member of the Twin City Hardware family, this role will be instrumental in providing financial and administrative support for customer accounts throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis of overdue accounts receivable and prioritize customer collections in line with company policies.
  • Engage with customers to collect outstanding balances through various communication channels and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding account statuses effectively.
  • Review and negotiate customer contracts as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and Sales team to resolve contract and invoice discrepancies.
  • Process customer lien waivers and bonding requests efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit monthly payment applications accurately.
  • Apply customer payments to invoices and manage bank deposits.
  • Handle credit card transactions for cash-on-delivery orders.
  • Perform various accounting tasks as required.
  • Provide coverage for front-desk operations.
  • Welcome visitors and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Manage outgoing and incoming mail effectively.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of construction terminology and contracts is preferred.
  • Prior experience in collections or accounting is advantageous.
  • Proficient in computer applications within a Windows/Google environment.
  • Intermediate skills in spreadsheet management, including data organization and formula creation.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
  • Self-motivated and organized, capable of managing workflow efficiently with timely follow-ups.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Professional demeanor in all customer interactions.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
Work Environment

This position is based in an office setting, involving extended periods of computer work. The workstation is adjustable for sitting or standing, with daily phone usage.
