Key Responsibilities

To excel in this role, candidates must be able to perform the following essential duties:

  • Supervise Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs) working with clients.
  • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles.
  • Train staff on specific behavior treatment plans tailored to each client.
  • Conduct weekly data reviews to assess treatment effectiveness.
  • Modify treatment programs as necessary to ensure client progress.
  • Perform assessments such as VB-MAPP, ABLLS, or AFLS upon intake and biannually thereafter.
  • Monitor authorization dates and update treatment plans accordingly.
  • Adjust behavior plans throughout the treatment process based on client development.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) as required.
  • Engage in bi-weekly BCBA group meetings and monthly one-on-one sessions with the Clinical Integrity Officer to discuss client progress.
  • Provide training for parents and caregivers.
  • Stay informed about various programs and certifications through CEU events.
  • Assist with scheduling and provide direct coverage as needed.
  • Be present in the center during operational hours.
  • Support clinical needs as they arise.
  • Ensure a minimum of 28 impact hours weekly with clients and RBTs.

Supervisory Duties

As a BCBA, you will also be responsible for:

  • Supervising RBTs pursuing BCBA certification.
  • Conducting weekly competency assessments for newly hired RBTs and monthly assessments for longer-tenured RBTs.
  • Reviewing RBT session notes for accuracy and providing constructive feedback.
  • Delivering initial corrective feedback to RBTs as part of a progressive disciplinary process.
  • Proactively managing and developing RBT staff.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Must be a BACB Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • A Master's degree in special education, psychology, or a related field with specialized knowledge in behavioral health.
  • Extensive knowledge and training in behavior analysis is required.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
