The main objective of this role is to assist with bagging items at the checkout, organizing bags into carts, restocking returned items, retrieving shopping carts from the parking area, maintaining cleanliness in the front-end area, replenishing coolers, and managing waste disposal.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • At the beginning of each shift, review the work schedule, check necessary equipment and supplies, adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines, and prepare for assigned duties.
  • Manage waste collection, transport trash to the compactor, and operate the compactor.
  • Maintain cleanliness by performing housekeeping tasks, ensuring floors and work areas are tidy, and conducting a clean sweep every hour.
  • Gather shopping carts, organize them, and return them to the front-end of the store.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate company policies and safety regulations to perform job duties effectively.
  • Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to operate or learn to operate the tools and equipment necessary for this role.
  • Must adhere to company performance standards, including regular attendance.
  • Must complete the introductory (probationary) period as required.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
  • Must comply with company performance standards.
  • Must agree to wear the designated attire and footwear approved for this position.
  • Must maintain any required licenses, certificates, or permits for the role.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Shift duration: minimum of 4 hours or more based on business needs.
  • Job cycles: continuous maximum.
  • Lift/carry capacity: up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
  • Category IV: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Maximum static pull: 20 lbs.
