Job Summary

The Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor is a key member of the F&B management team, responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, bar, and breakfast services. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of breakfast, restaurant, and banquet operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and high-quality guest experiences.
  • Provide guidance and support to F&B staff, including training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they meet the highest standards of service and quality.
  • Conduct daily reports on covers, sales, and other operational metrics to inform management decisions and drive business growth.
  • Supervise restaurant and breakfast employees during service, ensuring they are aware of specials, banquets, and expectations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to explore new business opportunities and plans, driving revenue growth and improving guest satisfaction.
  • Meet with the Restaurant Manager to discuss progress on assigned projects and determine future assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with the Restaurant Manager and F&B Manager to ensure any urgent requests or issues are addressed promptly.
  • Assist in planning, setting up, and running catering, holiday, wedding, and banquet events as needed.
  • Set up and break down breakfast buffet, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation during service hours.
  • Conduct daily inventory and restocking of dishes, glassware, and food items.
  • Develop and coach staff with input from department managers, recommending corrective action as needed.
  • Complete reports, projects, and paperwork as assigned on a timely basis.
  • Assist with payroll information regarding schedule changes, missed punches, and adding alternate job codes.
  • Work collaboratively with all areas of the F&B department, including breakfast, lounge, and banquets.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of F&B management experience preferred.
  • 1 year of hotel industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food and cooking methods and wine preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk, or be on their feet for extended periods. They will regularly work in wet, hot, and humid conditions and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces. The ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance is also required.
