Position Overview

Join our organization as the Elementary School Liaison with Professional Services Group. We are a community-focused social services organization seeking passionate individuals to be part of our mission.

The Youth Outreach Program at PSG is a collaborative initiative between local child welfare services and the school district. This program employs Liaisons across elementary, middle, and high schools to assist students at risk of academic challenges, dropout, absenteeism, or delinquent behavior. In your role as the Elementary School Liaison, you will engage with children and their families to mitigate truancy and foster educational achievement by encouraging parental involvement in their child's schooling. You will collaborate with families to develop tailored strategies and support mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and evaluate personalized treatment plans for clients.
  • Assess client behavior and academic performance through daily in-school evaluations.
  • Facilitate structured group and individual educational sessions, family therapy, and recreational activities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding client progress and engage in problem-solving discussions.
  • Oversee and support youth participating in the Summer Youth Employment Program.

Work Environment: This position requires local travel to meet with clients and families in various community settings. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional evening commitments. Full-time during the academic year and part-time during summer months.

Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance are required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field is mandatory.
