Job Description

This is a 12-month contract position with the option to extend, working 97% remotely and 3% on-site in Madison, WI, as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise-wide information architecture planning, data modeling concepts, and information security classification and categorization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support data management efforts across the Bureau to standardize data modeling practices and align data architecture with technology, application architecture, and security needs.
  • Work closely with the database management and application development teams to enhance data interoperability and integration efforts.
  • Establish DCF's data interoperability strategy and data classification and security framework.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience with large and complex database management systems, business intelligence tools, and applications.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Erwin Data Modeling software, data integration/API integration, and data warehouse design and development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to create and document technical processes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Implementing data management standards to ensure consistency in metadata categories within data models.
  • Designing, maintaining, and developing database architecture, conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Leading and facilitating communication with business customers, IT staff, and other stakeholders, incorporating business requirements into data model design.
