Job Summary

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team. As a key member of our MySQL HeatWave Cloud Engineering team, you will be responsible for driving overall MySQL HeatWave adoption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our sales teams to identify and define customer needs, determine a path to create real opportunities for their organizations, and deliver presentations and demonstrations to help them understand our solutions.
  • Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the cloud computing market.
  • Maintain strong database technical knowledge with the ability to go deep enough on technical aspects to differentiate between varied database approaches.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, product demos, sample solutions, and discussions to drive awareness and adoption of MySQL HeatWave.
  • Identify leads for potential partnerships and customer opportunities in the MySQL Database Ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define the product roadmap and market positioning for MySQL HeatWave offerings.
  • Identify, drive, develop, and support community user groups and developer program initiatives for MySQL HeatWave.
  • Create and maintain white papers, screencasts, demos, and videos about MySQL HeatWave with relevant emerging technologies, open-source projects, and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Fluent English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Technical and analytical skills, with significant business development, enterprise sales, or program/product management experience
  • Computer Science or Engineering preferred
  • Travel required 25-35%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Database experience, programming skills, Linux skills highly preferred
  • Cloud Skills and experience highly preferred
  • AWS and/or GCP Certifications
  • MySQL and/or OCI Certifications
  • LAMP Stack hands-on experience
  • Database Systems Certifications
  • Experience working with MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and AWS databases
  • Experience working and traveling independently
  • Machine learning and GenAI knowledge a plus
  • Experience with public speaking at conferences and meetups
