Key Responsibilities- Assess and Evaluate Patient Health: Conduct thorough assessments of patient health status, including physical exams, medical histories, and diagnostic testing.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Create and implement individualized care plans that address patient needs and goals.
- Provide Medical Care and Treatment: Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide other medical care as needed.
- Communicate with Patients and Families: Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a clinic setting.
- Licensure: A valid PA license for the state of North Carolina, certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
This role will be based in a medical office and exam room setting, with frequent exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to a clinic. You will also have frequent contact with a variety of people, including patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Physical and Mental DemandsThis role requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting, as well as the ability to help transfer patients. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively with others and make responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent medical practitioner.
